Being a Golden Eagle is one of the highest honors at Eaglebrook. A Golden Eagle is someone who has attended Eaglebrook for four years, from Third through Sixth Form.

We began our Eaglebrook journey in Doubleday, 18 students separated from the rest of the school. There are still 15 of us from countries all over the world.

This group of Golden Eagles is unique in that we started Eaglebrook during the Pandemic, which changed many of the school norms and traditions that had been going on for a while. One of these traditions was the Third Form Hurricane Island trip, which we unfortunately missed. Over the years, however, these traditions have returned, and it has been amazing to be able to experience Eaglebrook to its fullest.

Each Golden Eagle has their own unique story with memories that will last a lifetime. Here are some of the favorite memories of a few Golden Eagles.

Andrew Neo ’24 loved “Hanging out with the Taylor Third Formers on the lawn while eating lunch.”

Crosby Fay ’24 said, “Some of my best times at Eaglebrook were every Wednesday in Third Form when we went on field trips. My favorite field trip What It Means to Be a Golden Eagle was when we went to Mrs. LaPointe’s house and played soccer on her pond, which was frozen over. Another memorable field trip was when we went into the woods and placed animal feeders.”

Chase Spolansky ’24 said, “My favorite memory from Eaglebrook is all of the Varsity Water Polo car rides. I will miss all of the teachers and kids who helped me along the way!”

Nolan Yellin ’24 said he remembers “Skiing with the other Third Formers after being at Eaglebrook for only two days.”

While all the Golden Eagles will soon be heading off to a new chapter in our lives, we will always have a special bond from the four years we have spent growing and learning together at Eaglebrook. Eaglebrook has had such an incredible impact on us in every way, and we cannot thank Eaglebrook enough for everything it has brought us.
