Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
The Ad Libs Sing the National Anthem at Fenway Park
Eaglebrook News Team
On Sunday, April 20, Eaglebrook’s a cappella group, The Ad Libs, continued their tradition of singing the National Anthem at the Boston Red Sox game. With perfect weather and an excited atmosphere, the Red Sox faced off against the White Sox at Fenway Park — and The Ad Libs were in the heart of it.
Exclusively Sixth Formers, The Ad Libs is a selective group that requires an audition. This year, 18 talented students were chosen to be part of the ensemble. After weeks of focused rehearsals and preparation, the group stepped onto the field and delivered a powerful rendition of the National Anthem.
Mr. Jodka, Eaglebrook’s choral conductor, praised the students for their dedication and hard work: “They’ve been rehearsing this piece for several weeks, and it really showed in their performance.”
For many of the boys, singing at Fenway Park was a dream come true. One student shared, “I’ve always wanted to do this — it was unforgettable.”
It was also wonderful to see several Eaglebrook families in the crowd, proudly supporting the group. Thank you to the parents who came to cheer on our talented students! To watch the performance, go to our YouTube Channel, and to see photos, go to our website.
