Ted (Bear) Fisher ’79 went on to Bentley University and then Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after graduating from Eaglebrook. He has more than 20 years of consumer products development and marketing experience.
Early in his career he worked for SIG of Switzerland to supply manufacturing systems to large consumer products companies including Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, and The Proctor & Gamble Company. Ted was responsible for providing the manufacturing of packaging systems worldwide for the development of Snackwells.
In 2000 Ted founded The Anova Group, a product and business developing consulting practice where he led the product developments of the Atkins brand, Johnson & Johnson skin care products, Dreamfields, Pasta Fizzion, and Cheribundi.
Ted has recently formed a joint venture called Green Leaf Foods, LLC with Brioni's Coffee Company where he led the development and patenting of Brioni's Healthy Morning Coffee and The Green Cup. Brioni's Healthy Morning Coffee is the first fiber-enhanced prebiotic coffee in the industry that provides digestive health benefits. The Green Cup is an environmentally friendly line of single-serve coffee products for the Keurig Coffee Machine. Ted recently visited the Eaglebrook campus to deliver some of his Green Cup coffee pouches to offices in the Lodge. While he was on campus, he also sat in on a Sustainability Committee meeting with the student and faculty members of the committee.
Ted is active in his community and has been coaching youth sports for the past 10 years. He lives in West Hartford, CT with his wife, Connie and three children: Hutch, Charlie, and Henry. Hutch is a sophomore at Drew University and a midfielder on the lacrosse team. Charlie will attend Dickinson College next year and will pick for the Dickinson College baseball team. An avid sailor and former Commodore of the Sachem's Head Yacht Club, Ted enjoys his leisure time on the waters of Long Island sound.
