Why would you send a sixth-grade boy to boarding school? Shouldn't a ninth-grade student start high school? What is a junior boarding school? Make an appointment to visit us today and learn why Eaglebrook, a boarding and day school for boys in middle school, might be the right place for your son.
Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. Learn about the programs we offer at Eaglebrook, from athletics to arts.
At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
All four Eaglebrook Ski Teams had success at yesterday’s season ending MISL Championships/Awards, held under sunny skies and unseasonably warm weather at the Easton Ski Area at Eaglebrook School. A 52 gate 1 run Slalom challenged many racers but the home slope’s Amy’s Run Trail proved to be the ticket to success for many Brookie Alpine racers. New EBS names lead the charge after some of our top racers made mistakes- Sixth Former Henry Conlon ended his Eaglebrook ski team on a high note finishing in 6th place, his top finish of the season. Zach Leeds put in a nice run capturing the 8th spot and Varsity B racer Jun-O Park had a season best 10th place finish. After a somewhat flat season Tri-Captain Lucien Malle wanted to go out on a high note and skied to a season's best 11th place. Collin Alexander captured a front page 15th place result. Racers Wilson, Foley, and Bower all had solid runs and were in the top 20.
Both Varsity A and B tied for second place in this race with only EBS alum laden DA team taking a controversial first place finish. For the season the Eaglebrook A team finished third just behind Mohawk HS and DA. This race brought team racing to a close and demonstrated the depth of talent that the Brookie Alpine Ski Team has. There may have been no natural snow on the ground but there was lots of hard work and enthusiasm taking place every day on Amy's Run Trail.
The talented JV A ski team captured first place in the MISL JV Division and dominated the Eaglebrook home SL, taking 8 out 11 top spots. Third former and Tri State J4 Championship racer Clark Lotuff finished a strong 2nd, followed by Jun Han Park in 3rd, Patrick Finnegan in 5th, Joseph Kwon in 6th,Will Jordan in 8th, Antonio Cosio in 9th, Manuel Gonzalez in 10th, and Jorge Sanchez in the 11th position. Complete results can be found at mislprepskiing.org. As a side note- all present at yesterday’s MISL race were treated to two superb runs by EBS alum and US Ski Team Development Racer Ryan Mooney, who posted times two to three seconds faster than all prep school racers.
The Eaglebrook Ski Club will host a USSA J3/4/5 OPEN SL race on Sunday, February 26, and will play host to over 150 aspiring JR racers. Come out and enjoy the
