Why would you send a sixth-grade boy to boarding school? Shouldn't a ninth-grade student start high school? What is a junior boarding school? Make an appointment to visit us today and learn why Eaglebrook, a boarding and day school for boys in middle school, might be the right place for your son.
Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. Learn about the programs we offer at Eaglebrook, from athletics to arts.
At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
Rough snow and trail conditions forced a shortened GS race for the Varsity Division of the weekly MISL race series held at Berkshire East Ski Area. And once more, the
older, heavier prep school racers and EBS alums, dominated the top spots. The Varsity Brookie team was led by Zach Mooney, 7th, Hunter Quigg, 11th, Zach Leeds, 21st, and GS specialist Collin Alexander 24th. Tri-Captain Henry Conlon, having a challenge to put two good runs together this season, turned in a solid second run time of 28:40, about top 25 in that run. The team finished 4th out of 10 teams in the Varsity Division. Next week’s scheduled Slalom should equal the playing field and the team will be seeking a top three finish next Wednesday.
On the Varsity B team, first year warm weather racer Joaquin Angulo continues to push some of the Varsity A racers and lead his team in results and skill improvement.
Eaglebrook JV A continues to be the team to beat by winning for the third race in a row their Division Slalom Race. Matt Zahn turned a very strong race taking 2nd overall followed by Jun Han Park in 7th, James Thayer in 10th, Joseph Kwon in 11th, and rounding off the team scoring Charlie Lesko in the 12th spot. Patrick Finnegan continues to move up the JV ladder with a 14th place finish. See results at misl.prepskiing.org.
All four Eaglebrook Ski Teams will take part in a home race at the Easton Ski Area with a (2) GS, 2 PM Start, on Sat. 1/28/12. Come out and support the Ski Teams.
