At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
On Saturday the Brookies made the trip to Lawrence Ma to face the Boys Club team. Earlier this season we made the trip and were able to pull out a victory. This time we were a bit short-handed and the boys struggled early to get their legs. The Boys Club held a 10-point lead midway through the first half, but Eaglebrook kept battling and tied it up with about 3:00 minutes to play in the half. Lawrence closed the frame out with a few deep threes and entered halftime up 5 points. The intensity turned up in the second half as both teams played hard. The Eagles' defense held Lawrence in check, forcing them to settle for outside shots and scraped a five-point lead together entering the final minutes. Lawrence got hot and regained the lead, but the Eagles continued to work hard on the defensive end, creating turnovers and getting some big baskets to keep it close. The Brookies tied it up as the half ended forcing overtime. Both teams continued to fight hard on both ends of the floor and the Eagles finally prevailed 55-53 after two overtime periods.
