Ski Team at the Final Mount Institute Ski League (MISL) race
On Wednesday, the competitive ski teams competed in the final race of the Mount Institute Ski League series. Varsity raced Slalom and JV raced Giant Slalom in a one-run event followed by the awards ceremony. The teams finished well in the race with Varsity placing third and JV placing first and second. On the Varsity course, Cody V. ’23 finished the season with a personal best of third place. Carter L. ’24 and Jerry R ’24 both enjoyed top-three finishes on the JV course. The season was a great success for Eaglebrook this year and the athletes’ hard work was rewarded with impressive individual and team accomplishments. In the JV division, three racers earned awards for their consistent racing. Individual achievements were celebrated by Marcus L. ’23 finishing fourth overall, Jerry R. ’22 finishing second and Diego H. ’23 was crowned the boys JV champion for the season. In the final team standings, the JVB team earned second place and the JVA team won the series. The Varsity team finished third in the league standings, a profound accomplishment considering they were competing against high school Varsity athletes.
