JV1 Secures Convincing 37-32 Win over Westminster

With dozens of students and faculty cheering them on, JV1 Basketball took on Westminster at home on Saturday, securing a convincing 37-32 win. 

The Martlets demonstrated the grit and grace of their school motto in the first quarter, opening the scoring with a three pointer and applying steady pressure to the Eagles over the first eight minutes of regulation play.

Undaunted, JV1 stayed close and started turning the game around in the second quarter, grabbing rebounds, setting up a strong passing game, and taking time with their shots. Just after halftime, the Eagles took an 18-16 lead and refused to let it go.

Eaglebrook’s quality play continued over the final two quarters, capped by a convincing three-pointer in the final quarter that created a nearly insurmountable lead. Despite a valiant Westminster effort in the final two minutes, the Eagles held on to a comfortable 5-point lead at the final buzzer.
