Robotics Team Advances to the Playoff Round at First Tech Challenge

On Sunday, January 26, Eaglebrook’s Robotics team soared to new heights, placing seventh out of 22 teams participating in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Massachusetts Regional Qualifier at Brookline High School.
The Eagles advanced to the playoff round at the “Brookline Robo Rally,” securing a fifth-seed placement following a strong performance in preliminary competition. They were eliminated after winning one of three playoff matches.
Mr. Huang and Mr. Sadnytzky complimented the team on their strong performance and praised them for the hard work and collaborative effort that they invested in preparing for FTC over several recent weekends.
The students enjoyed the event, which began with a 6:00 a.m. departure from Eaglebrook, included a full-day of activities in Brookline, and concluded with a well-deserved team dinner.
The Robotics team members who participated in this weekend’s competition were Johnny Chen '27, Michael Kao '27, Manato Tanaka '25, Lucas Wu '27, Alex Xi '25, Max Yao '26, Darcy Yu '27, Edward Yates '25, and Branden Zhang '25.
