Mr. Cummings Nominated for Poetry Award

Brooklyn Poets – a literary society committed to mentoring poets and fostering the creative arts in New York City – has nominated Eaglebrook English teacher Evan Cummings for poem of the year.

Mr. Cummings’ 2022 poem, “Everything at All Times,” explores themes of personal struggle, loss, and recovery, and he will be one of 10 poets who will read their submissions to a panel of judges on December 6.

At Eaglebrook, Mr. Cummings teaches Fifth and Sixth Form English, coaches Juniors Soccer, and serves as a dorm parent in Halsted. Good luck, Mr. Cummings!
