Thirds Baseball Bounces back from Rectory Loss with 7-1 Win
DEERFIELD, Mass. – April 27, 2024 – Thirds Baseball bounced back from a tough loss at Rectory last week with a rousing 7-1 win against the Wolfies on the home diamond in Deerfield.
Eaglebrook came out swinging when Luigi M. '26 slapped a sharp single to right field. Henrik P. '25 followed up with a double on a long drive to center, putting runners on second and third. Luigi then scrambled home to score on a passed ball.
Other top hitters included Prescott Z. '25, who walloped a massive drive to left, as well as Baker D. '25, Daniel P. '27 and others.
The game’s most exciting moment came with Baker on the mound. Eaglebrook was up 5-1, but two singles and a walk loaded the bases, and Rectory’s best hitter worked the count full. Baker ended the drama with a dramatic strikeout.
The team would like to thank players from other teams who helped us fill out the roster while some of our players were away for the weekend. Duncan B. '27, Felix C. '25, Paco M. '25, and Tony Z '25 all subbed in to help the team to an exciting win.
