On Wednesday afternoon the Eaglebrook Varsity basketball team hosted the hoggers from Northfield Mount Hermon. Coming off a tough loss over the weekend, the Brookies were fired up to get back in the win column.
From the opening tip, the Eagles played with a lot of energy and used their athleticism to their advantage. After jumping out to a quick 10-point lead, Eaglebrook led 22-4 after the first quarter. Despite some difficulty getting their shots to fall in the second quarter, Eaglebrook maintained their lead by relying on excellent defensive play by everyone. While the Hoggers cut the lead to single digits early in the quarter, Eaglebrook held a 15-point lead at the half and coasted to an easy 74-47 victory. Up next for the Brookies will be the back end of a home-and-home series against RCA
